According to foreign media TechCrunch, delivery robot developer "Tortoise" recently announced a partnership with hotel giant "Sodexo" to launch a mobile smart store. The device is a quirky vending machine with wheels, and this year participated in the 2022 Comic-Con International in San Diego, USA.

At the event a few months ago, the "Tortoise" robot would be loaded with Sodexo's roast beef burritos and 20-ounce bottles of Gatorade, roaming the main hall of the San Diego Convention Center for 135,000 people. Tourists provide services.

At the same time, Tortoise is also providing Walmart with a smart retail van vending test, selling beef jerky and Kinder chocolate eggs to customers waiting in the parking lot for curbside pickup orders. Walmart is Tortoise's largest retail partner in experimenting with mobile vending robots.

Currently, the company has deployed 40 mobile smart stores in the United States, Shevelenko said.
